Behind a social network service FACEBOOK by Nadia Palma

Nadia started her presentation showing us the "terms of service" of facebook which allows them to use your information, photos, videos, etc as they want because you "accept" it in the terms and it is necesarry to create an account in the webpage if you do not "accept" you can not create an account in facebook!

That is why that we must teach to use it correctly to our students because we can not prohibit them to have an account in facebook.

Here we have some recommendations:

-read the privacy policies.

- don not publish numbers and/or adresses.

- put your profile as private.

- only accept people that you really know.

Now, we can help students explaining those recommendations:

- explain the policies.

- explain why they should not publish their private information.

- NOT ACCEPT ALL FRIENDS REQUEST JUST OF THE PEOPLE THE STUDENTS REALLY KNOW.

- eliminate people who are being problematic.

Children need our guide because as Nadia said, FACEBOOK could be a friend or an enemy!

I really liked this presentation. I think it was very useful specially to me for the following reasons:
First, i could learn and know what`s mean the terms of service because i have no idea about it.

Second, I did not know how vulnerable we can be on the net, it is very dangerous if we do not know how to use it correctly.

Third, the whole presentation was helpful to me to start improving those recommendations in my own life.

The topic was great but Nadia sometimes was dull, i think is for her soft voice. She should mix her tone of voice to emphasize an idea or phrase to catch our attention and make a pleasant environment for everbody in the class.
